Discussion on the best location for Release Notes
We have efficiency issues each Release because Release Notes are inside the package itself - is everyone now happy enough with the new release notes format in confluence that we can separate them from the packages? They can still be included in national extension packages, we're just talking here about de-coupling the Release Notes from the IHTSDO published packages. The readme file can remain within the package, as we will automate the generation of this file.
We can either then have them available on Confluence to download, or
even provide the pdf on MLDS to download alongside the package itself. Whichever works best for everyone?
From my researcher point of view I still like to have a document that is easy to store on a hard drive and easy to reference. A PDF document or similar where the release date or similar is clearly stated fulfill this requirement. I also like when it is easy to find and download the document, but that can be accomplished in many different ways. Except for that, I don’t have any strong opinion.
