Proposal to increase the level of metadata available for authors to log decisions made during content authoring
This is a subject that would be helpful to include Jim in the discussions, as he has some definite opinions on how to improve the metadata in this area.
Some suggestions would be to make more detailed information available for authors to describe their reasons for inactivation (especially in those areas where currently they are forced to use inactivation reason codes that aren't completely representative of the reasons in that instance).

@Jim Case: Are the EAG considering to add coded information or free text information or both in the metadata?
@Mikael Nyström (Unlicensed) , at this stage, we are keeping to coded entries. The biggest issue we are trying to resolve is traceability when a concept is inactivated. We have a couple of statuses that have no pointers to anything, so concepts just "disappear" without information on the disposition.
The EAG has been having some discussions on enhancing the historical relationship metadata and will continue them in the April 2019 meeting. The main issue is how to improve the traceability of content that is being inactivated. The parallel discussion WRT adding a new value of "WITHDRAWN" is not very appealing to me because it would then require that we maintain content that was never intended to be released. It may become a moot point in the near future as we move to more frequent releases.
